Although Israel does not recognize so called Armenian genocide, newly assigned Israeli ambassador to Washington Michael  B. Oren is known with his pro-Armenian attitude in the issue of so called Armenian genocide. Armenian media commented assignment of Michael B. Oren claiming that it may facilitate recognition of so called Armenian genocide by U.S. House of Representatives.

California based Armenian journal California Courier wrote that Michael  B. Oren believes the “truth” of so called Armenian genocide although Israeli state does not.

Calling for attention to the statements of Michael B. Oren’s book “Power, faith and fantasy,” Californi Courrier wrote, “Although Oren wrote the book before he was assigned as ambassador to Washington, hopefully he will not follow the same attitude with previous Israeli ambassadors who lobbied in Congress to prevent recognition.”

California Courrier wrote that assignment of an ambassador who probably will support recognition of so called Armenian genocide is happened due to the clash between Turkey and Israel over operations of Israel in Gaza.

The report published by California based Armenian newspaper claimed that Turkey is doing anti-semitism. It wrote that statements of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Davos created discontent among Jewish people all over the world and left a permanent damage on bilateral relations.

California Courrier wrote, “Assignment of Michael B. Oren may facilitate recognition of so called Armenian genocide by U.S. House of Representatives.”
