Stating that President Abdullah Gul’s initiative of “historical opportunity” found great support in international area, Foregin Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu said, “We changed the balances in the issue of Armenia.”

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said that Turkey changed the balances in its relations with Armenia. He stressed that President Abdullah Gul’s initiative of “historical opportunity” about Kurdish problem found great support in international area. Informing external relations committee in parliament, Davutoglu said that Turkey reformed the balances in its relations with Armenia.

Stating that they activated OSCE Minsk Group towards resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said, “Negotiations with Armenia is going on. We parallelized two processes; the process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia, and the process of resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Statements of President Abdullah Gul’s statements over resolution of Kurdish issue also came to agenda. Davutoglu said, “Initiative of President Abdullah Gul found great support at international area. Our efforts are continuing.” Stating that Turkey has 12 embassy in African countries, Ahmet Davutoglu said that Turkey will open 10 more embassies in Africa to increase its efficiency in the area.
