PERES: "AZERBAIJANIS OPTIMISTIC DESPITE OCCUPATION OF KARABAKH"

Holding an official visit to Azerbaijan, Israeli President Shimon Peres touched the issue of occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh by Armenia and stated that Azerbaijani people could succeed preserving their culture and optimism despite the invasion. According to the report of Azertac news agency, after meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and talks between delegations, Presidents of two country held a joint press conferece. Shimon Peres said, “Existence of one million refugee in a country with more than 8 million population is a really hard issue. But your are dealing with it finely.” Stating that 20 percent of their lands is under Armenian occupation, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the occupation is not a danger only for theirselves but also a threat for whole region.
