AZERBAIJANI, ARMENIAN INTELLECTUALS VISITED UPPER KARABAKH

A delegation of Azerbaijani and Armenian intellectuals visited Nagorno-Karabakh.

According to the reports in Armenian media, in the leadership of Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Moscow Polad Bulbuloglu and Armenia’s ambassador to Moscow Armen Smbatyan visited Nagorno-Karabakh and met with head of Nagorno-Karabakh seperatist regime, Bako Sahakyan.

In the meeting, Bulbuloglu said that Azerbaijani and Armenian people are living together since long time and said that the aim of the joint visit to Karabakh is providing rapprochement between people.

Sahakyan stated that he supports such visits, he defined the joint visit of Azerbaijani and Armenian intellectuals to Nagorno-Karabakh as “public diplomacy.” Delegation will pass to Yerevan and meet with Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan. Delegation of Azerbaijani and Armenian intellectuals are expected to pass to Baku and meet to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev after their visit to Yerevan.

Visiting the Azerbaijani land under Armenian occupation, Azerebaijani delegation in the presidency of Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Moscow Polad Bulbuloglu expected to hold a press conference to give information about the event.

A similar visit to this one was held by Azerbaijani and Armenian intellectuals in 2007.
