HRISTOFYAS WANTED SO CALLED GENOCIDE TO BE RECOGNIZED

Holding an official visit to Armenia, Head of Greek Populated Southern Cyprus Dimitris Hristofyas wanted so called Armenian genocide to be recognized. Hristofyas wrote to the book in the monument for so called genocide in Yerevan that recognition and censure of so called Armenian genocide that is alllegedly committed by “Young Turks” is a duty for international community and for human being.

During his official visit to Armenia, Greek Populated Southern Cyprus Leader Hristofyas standed in silence with his wife Esli in the monument for the victims of so called Armenian genocide. Following that he visited Genocide Museum in Yerevan. To the book in Genocide Museum, Hristofyas wrote that he is feeling, “Sorrow, pain and hatred” because of the events that happened to Armenian people. He also claimed that the people who committed so called Armenian genocide were Young Turks.

Hristofyas said that recognition and censure of so called Armenian genocide is a duty for international community and for human being. He stated that Southern Cyprus and people of Cyprus always supported Armenia’s efforts for recognition of so called Armenian genocide.
