Azerbaijan will not allow the current situation on the Nagorno-Karabakh to continue, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov said at the conference on the 90th anniversary of Azerbaijani diplomacy.

“The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved on terms of restoration of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and withdrawal of Armenian forces from the occupied territories,” Mammadyarov said.

The foreign minister said the country is making all efforts for a peaceful solution of the conflict. “We are moving, albeit slowly, and we must move forward step by step,” he said.

Azerbaijan will not maintain the status quo in the conflict, Mammadyarov said.

“Let the Armenian side be confident that Baku will not allow preserving the current situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh in future,” the minister said.
