Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed al-Nahyan, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan. Foreign Ministry's press service told APA that the guest stated that the UAE was very much interested in further development of relations with Azerbaijan and added that his country would open a diplomatic representation in Azerbaijan in the near future. According to him, his country took great interest in development of economic cooperation with Azerbaijan. Touching upon the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed al-Nahyan noted that his country supported Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, wanted the Armenian armed forces to free the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. According to him, UAE supports the diplomatic solution of the conflict.

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in return stated that the positions of both countries coincided with each other in a number of international issues and expressed his gratitude to the guest for UAE's support to Azerbaijan's position in the regulation of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
