Foreign Ministry of Turkey stated that they welcome the joint statement that is issued by the Presidents of Organization for Security and Cooperation (OSCE) Minsk Group co-chair countriestowards resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The written statement that is issued by Ministry of Foreign Affairs says, “The announcement refers to the basic principles that are included in the Madrid agreementwhich wassigned by the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia in November 2007. Up to now, our impression about the principles that are mentioned in the Madrid document are reflecting attitudes and approaches of both parties towards resolution of the dispute.

The written statement of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey said,

“Appearance of nuances in the approaches of conflicting parties to the basic principles should be considered as natural. The important point is, accomplishment of negotiations over basic principles in a short time and therefore resolution of the dispute which is a going on with being a bleeding wound for Azerbaijan, Armenia and as well as South Caucasus.”
