GUL TO DECIDE WHERE ARMENIA GAME TO BE PLAYED

President Abdullah Gul and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make the final decision about where the soccer game between Turkish and Armenian national teams will be played. Although it is possible for the mach to be played in Kayseri, opening of Kayseri Kadir Has stadium may be made on Turkey-Estonia game on September 5.

Metropolitan Mayor Mehmet Ozhaseki stated that they made all kinds of preparation for Turkey-Armenia World Cup 2010 qualification game to be played in Kayseri although it is up to President Abdullah Gul and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make the final decision. Mayor Ozhaseki said,

“We think that it would be very beneficial for presentation of Kayseri. We will host our guests properly in the frames of Anatolian hospitality. Final decision about where the match will be played is up to is up to our fellow countryman, Mr. President Abdullah Gul and Foreign Ministry. I do not know which city will be chosed.”

Metropolitan Mayor Mehmet Ozhaseki stated that opening ceremony of Kayseri Kadir Has Stadium will be made with Turkey-Estonia game if Presidency do not pick Kayseri for Turkey-Armenia soccer game.

Kayseri office of Turkish Education Syndicate opposed to the decision about Kayseri to host Turkey-Armenia soccer game, and started a campaign titled “I do not want murderers of my brothers in my land.”
