Witness of Armenian atrocity in Igdir and neighbouring provinces in 1919, Ali Asker Turk passed away at the age of 104.

Succeeding to survive of the massacres that Armenians committed in Igdir, Ali Asker Turk is committed to ground following the ceremony that is held in Karakoyunlu district.

According to his birth certificate, at the age of 104, and according to his statements at the age of 112, Ali Asker Turk had told the events that he witnessed as,

“I was at the age of 10. When Armenians arrived we fleed to Cennetabat village. Then we passed to Ramazan village and crossed to Iran over there. We returned after 1—2 years. Armenians tortured our people so much. They murdered my father. They massacred many people. Once i was hiding at my uncle’s house. They did not see me. If they could, they would kill me too. People who burned our people alive, now claims that they are victims of a genocide.”
