Another statement that may harm negotiations for the resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict came from Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian.

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated that returning of Azerbaijani refugees to Nagorno-Karabakh is not discussed in the negotiations that is held with Azerbaijan towards resolution of Karabakh conflict.

According to the report of Yerevan based Mediamax Agency, holding a meeting with the leader of seperatist Karabakh administration Bako Sahakyan, Armenian Foreign Minister Nalbandian held a press conference.

Claiming that Azerbaijan and Armenia are not discussing return of Azerbaijani refugees to Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenian Foreign Minister stated that such issue may come to agenda only after resolution of the conflict.

Nalbandian stated that they will not agree with any decision that is made, unless Nagorno-Karabakh Armenians approve it.

Although return of 1 million Azerbaijani refugee to their homes is one of the basic principles in the negotiations, the statements of Armenian Foreign Minister that refutes that clause is considered as a domestic policy movement.

United Nations Security Council, Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, International Organizations calls Armenia to end the occupation of Azerbaijani land and return of Azerbaijani refugees to their homeland.
