Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu stated that what is being done in Nagorno-Karabakh still would be an occupation even if 170 years passes.“

Davutoglu said, “Maybe Armenians do believe that Nagorno-Karabakh may gain a natural status if they continue occupation. But this is an occupation. International law was violated.” Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated that Turkey’s contribution to the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia should not be underestimated.

Attending to a TV program at TRT, Foreign Minister stated that Turkey has relations with all of the ethnic groups in Caucasus and does not support any ethnic or religious clash as a principle. Reminding Armenians keeping Nagorno Karabakh under occupation since 17 years, Davutoglu said, “Status quo in the Nagorno-Karabakh is not for the favor of Turkey-Armenia relations and Azerbaijan-Armenia relations.”
