Sixth round of the meetings between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan towards resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is held in Moscow, Russia.

Settlement of Turkish military forces for establishment of security in Nagorno-Karabakh came to agenda in the meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian Presidents during their meeting which lasted about 3,5 hours. According to the reports of Azerbaijani press, Armenia demands for recognition of independence of so called Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and settlement of Russian forces to Nagorno-Karabakh for establishment of security.

On the other hand, Azerbaijani party demands for a progressive method of solution to Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Azerbaijan wants return of 800,000 Azerbaijani refugee to the occupied regions and also placement of Turkish forces besides Russian forces to Nagorno-Karabakh and seven surrounding regions to provide security in the disputed region.

Leaders mostly discussed the issue of withdrawal of Armenian forces from 5 surrounding regions of Nagorno-Karabakh and delayed negotiations for determination of the status of Nagorno-Karabakh for later. Leaders did not sign any document as a result of the meeting although experts states that Presidents discussed disputed issues frankly for the first time.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan will meet again in October. After the bilateral meeting, Azerbaijani and Armenian Presidents met with Russian President Dimitry Medvedev for an evaluation of the progress that is made through talks.
