Head of Armenian Strategical Researches Center Richard Kirakosyan stated that Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Minsk Group is not successful in its mission of mediating between Azerbaijan and Armenia towards resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
According to the report of Yerevan based Mediamax news agency, Kirakosyan said in a news conference that OSCE Minsk Group is not successful over two important aspects. He listed the clauses that OSCE MG is unsuccessful as, participation of seperatist Nagorno-Karabakh administration to the negotiations towards resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict and trancperancy of process of resolution.
Kirakosyan stated that the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group towards immediate resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the only freezed conflict in the region, is because the conflict forms an obstacle for normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia.
Kirakosyan claimed that conflict will not be able to be solved despite all the pressure, unless Armenian administration of seperatist Nagorno-Karabakh is recognized as a party in negotiations.
Kirakosyan stated that Russia is the biggest threat for Armenia and called for attention to the recent development of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan. “We should be ready for betrayal of our friends,” added he.
