Announcing his candidacy again for the same position till the year 2011, this time Devedjian is faced with an unpleasant suprise. According to the report of Le Progrés newspaper, vice-president of the region Parliament and known with his good relations with Sarkozy family, UMP deputy Isabelle Balkany stated that the elder son of French President Nicholas Sarkozy, Jean Sarkozy should announce his candidacy for the Presidency chair. Coming just after the declaration of candidacy of Patrick Devedjian, call of Balcany for the regional Parliament’s Presidency of Sarkozy’s son, evaluated as the deformation of the good relations between Devedjian and Sarkozy.

Jean Sarkozy stated that his candidacy for the presidency of regional parliament will be discussed at its time.
