EU TO ASSIST WITH PEACEFUL SOLUTION OF KARABAKH CONFLICT

The European Union is ready to assist with the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict which is implemented by the OSCE Minsk Group at the moment, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, which presides over the EU currently, Frank Belfrage said while accepting credentials from head of the Armenian representation Avet Adonts.

During the meeting Adonts described to Belfrage the current situation of the peaceful talks on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and process of normalization of Armenia-Turkey ties.

In his turn, Belfrage said he is satisfied with deepening relations between Armenia and EU.

The meeting also focused on cooperation as a part of the Eastern Partnership and stressed importance of multilateral cooperation.
