According to one of the major Armenian organizations in United States, Armenian Assembly of America (AAA), Congressmen wrote in the letter, “We write to you with our concerns about Turkish backpedaling on the agreed upon roadmap to normalize relations between Turkey and Armenia.” Congressmen stated that they are concerned of Turkey’s “counterproductive” attitude regarding to normalization of relations without preconditions. They wrote, “While Armenia remains committed to the roadmap and have been offering Turkey to establish ties without preconditions, Turkish officials statements and actions since April 24th is contradicting to this agreement and undermining the policy of United States towards Armenia and Caucasus.”
