Ankara gets prepared to receive Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on August 6th. The most important issue of the meeting is the negotiations in Caucasus towards peaceful resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh.

Turkey will discuss the resettlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with Russia, which is forming an obstacle for establishment of normal relations with Armenia. Parties will also discuss energy issues.

Nabucco and South Stream projects will be on the agenda of the Turkish and Russian officials. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan had invited Russian PM to Turkey during his visit to Russia. But because of the intensive programs of the leaders, the meeting was delayed. The meeting between Turkish and Russian PMs on August 6th, will be the sixth meeting within a year.

Putin’s visit to Ankara is important because of the recent developments in Caucasus.
