“I share the position ofArmenian President as it reflects the opinion of political circles. We are for the establishment of diplomatic relations with Turkey without any preconditions. The negotiations should be completed in due time. It is our common position and I am confident it is firm,” Prosperous Armenia MP Aram Safaryan said.

Serzh Sargsyan has recently stated that he will not go to watch Turkey-Armenia football match if the border gate is closed or in the process of doing so.

Safaryan considers that Turkish authorities link Armenian-Turkish rapprochement with the progress in Karabakh peace process. “They say Armenian-Turkish relations” improvement is improbable without progress in the Karabakh conflict settlement. I find Sarsyan“s position principle and I am for further negotiations with both neighboring countries. I believe that efficient participation in the process speaks for Armenia”s image in the international scene.“
