"We hope that our strategic partner Russia, as co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group will make further efforts to resolve the Karabakh problem," Turkish foreign minister Ahmed Davudoglu said. According to him, Vladimir Putin during a meeting with the prime minister Erdogan and President Gul promised, that Russia will further strengthen its role in solving this problem. "We are ready to solve our problems with Armenia, but the Karabakh problem prevents us from moving forward in this direction, so we hope that Russia, the United States and France, using their authority will be able to resolve this problem to finally bring peace and long term cooperation in the region,” Ahmed Davudoglu said. He also mentioned that the signed energy agreements with Russia will not prevent the realization of Nabucco. "Nabucco is a very important project and it will be realized. We hope to reach consent with Azerbaijan on the gas issue soon, and I think this agreement will give more confidence to that project," he said, CNN-Turk reports.
