Google has suspended its ads to the website of a Turkish-American organization following the complaint by an Armenian-American organization that says theadds were denying so called Armenian genocide. Not being able to stand against the pressure of Armenian National Community of America (ANCA), Google’s spokesman reacted to Turkish Coalition of America (TCA) and called stance of Turkish advocacy group as like Nazis.

Pro-violance American-Armenian organization ANCA started its anti-TCA campaign on last May. Reacting to internet search engine Google due to the some search results on engine when certain words are searched, Armenian organization called Armenians and their friends to press Google. Google gave up and a Google spokesman told American Fox Television thatthe companydoes not accept ads which designed to stir up hate against a protected group. He statedthat Google does not allow ads which suggest revisions to history or attempt to revise history against interests of a protected group. Evaluating Armenian claims as a historical truth, Google spokesman said, “So you can imagine an ad by a Nazi group that says Holocaust is a myth.”

Ara Hamparian from ANCA expressed the content of U.S. Armenians due to the stance of Google. On the other hand Turkish community in United States harshly condemned the statements of Google spokesman. TCA’s advocate David Saltzman said, “We are not against the existence of any group. Whoever brings the issue of so called Armenian genocide up for discussion is announced as immoral and criminal. Google restricts freedom of speech.” Saltzman called people to write protest letters to Google.
