FOREIGN MINISTRY REACTS TO THE STATEMENTS OF GIRAGOSIAN

Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs refuted the claims of Head of Armenian Center for Strategic and National Research, Richard Giragosyan about armament of the Russian military base in Armenia by Russia through Turkish air space.

Panarmenian.net had reported Armenian expert claiming that Turkey and Russia had reached a secret agreement which allows Russia to arm its military base inArmenia by using Turkish air space.

Head of Armenian Center for Strategic and National Research Richard Giragosyan claimed that Putin and Erdogan agreed on such secret agreement that will allow Moscow to use Turkish air corridor to arm Gyumri military base in Armenia. Following similar reports in Turkish and Armenian media, Ministry of Foreign Affairs refuted the claims and stated that the ideas are fanciful.

Foreign Ministry stated that they feel deep sadness that such reports are used as a material for undermining good relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan.
