General Secretariat of European Union refuted the reports about preselection of applicants for open positions in the secretariatto be made by Armenian Patriarchate.
Issuing a written statement, General Secretariat of EU stated that reports about an “Armenian descent personnel for Egemen Bagis” may cause misunderstanding.Secretariat said that preconditions for assignment to the positionsare clear.
Stating that any citizen of Republic of Turkey can apply for the job if they meet the preconditions, EU General Secretariat said that they will hold an examination for the selection of officials and a preselection by any community, foundation or organization is not possible.
Hurriyetnewspaper had reported that Armenian Patriarchate will preselect appropriate candidates among Armenian community for appointment to the open positions in the General Secretariat of EU.
