Well known Armenian specialist in Turkish philology Hakob Chakryan stated that Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan should go to Turkey to watch soccer game between Turkey and Armenia.

Speaking at a press conference in Yerevan, Armenian expert on Turkic philology Hakob Chakryan stated that Armenian President Serzh should go to Turkey to watch the soccer game between Turkish and Armenian national teams, regardless of Turkey’s position and whether the state borders between Turkey and Armenia is opened or not. “Sarksyan should go watch the game to indicate mistakes of Turkish side,” said he.

According to the report of Public Radio of Armenia, Chakryan said,

“If Turkish-Armenian dialogue fails, it would be difficult to restart it since there is no relation between two countries. It would be hard to create a reason for recreation of a new dialogue. We will not be able to do that by ourselves.”

Armenian President Sarksyan had stated that he will visit Turkey only if the state border between two country is open or if countries are at the threshold of removal of the blockade against Armenia.

The game between Turkish and Armenian national football teams in the qualifying round of 2010 World Cup will be held on October 14th at Ataturk Stadium in Bursa.
