The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has denied reports on possible presence of Armenian military bases on Russian territory as part of an agreement on establishing the Collective Rapid Response Forces.

“We have no official information about any Armenian military bases in Dagestan, the Krasnodar region or anywhere else in the territory of Russia,” CSTO Spokesperson Vitaly Strugavets said.

Later this week, some media outlets specifically Regnum news agency reported that Armenia may have opportunity to build two military bases on Russian territory — in Dagestan and the Krasnodar region — to ensure security of transportation and communication networks under the agreement on establishing the Collective Rapid Response Forces.
