
Meeting in the iftar tent in Sisli, Istanbul, religious leaders left messages of friendship and peace.
The iftar tent that is pitched by Sisli Municipality administration, gathered representatives of different religious around the same table on the first day of Ramadan. Gathering around same table, religious leaders left the messages of friendship and peace. Dirtad Uzunyan from Armenian Patriarchate, Patriarch of Assyrian community Yusuf Cetin, Assyrian-Catholic community leader Yusuf Sag, Paisyos Kokinaki from Greek Patriarchate and Mufti of Sisli Ahmet Tuccar attended to the Iftar meal.
Stating that holy month Ramadan is the month of divine gift and charity, Sisli Mayor Mustafa Sarigul said, “In this month, people should help each other and cooperation should be at highest level. And people who are cross with each other should establish peace. I am so glad to host all religious leaders.”
Representatives of three divine religion stated that they wanted to join their Muslim brothers on their holy day, and they left the messages of friendship and brotherhood.
