“Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan's visit to Turkey to watch football match between teams of the two countries is necessary,“head of European Integration organization Karen Bekaryan said.
He said Armenian president must visit Turkey to strengthen position as initiator of normalization of ties and also to demonstrate his good will and constructive mood.
“There has been some break in Armenia-Turkey ties in recent months. But the football match will take place soon and we will witness some steps by Turkey,” the expert said.
The match between Turkish and Armenian football teams will take place in October.
Some attempted to describe Sargsyan's statement saying that he will go to Turkey only after borders are opened or in a period close to it as a precondition and not constructive position in Turkey, he said.
