Commenting on the statements of Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan about visiting Turkey only if the borders were opened, Russian expert Areshev said, “An appropriate tactical movement.” Another Russian expert, Head of Russian Military Prediction Center Tsyganok said that Sarksyan should visit Turkey.
Russian experts differs by their opinion about the statement of Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan over visiting Turkey only if the state border between Turkey and Armenia is open or countries are at the threshold of removal of blockade against Armenia. An expert at Russian Strategical Culture Foundation Sergei Arashev evaluated Sarksyan’s statements as “an appropriate tactical movement,” while Head of Russian Military Prediction Center Anatoly Tsyganok stated that Sarksyan should visit Turkey.
Discussions about the statements of Serzh Sarksyan about his possible Turkey visit is still on the agenda of Armenia. Armenian website NEWS.am published opinion of Russian experts about the issue, that are differing from each other.
Stating that the relations between Turkey and Armenia should be normalized, expert at Russian Strategical Culture Foundation Sergei Arashev “But this process should not progress by only Armenia’s concessions.” Welcoming Sarksyan’s statements warmly, Russian expert defined Armenian President’s attitude as “appropriate tactical movement.”
On the other hand, Head of Russian Military Prediction Center Anatoly Tsyganok stated that Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan should visit Turkey despite the developments in bilateral relations. Tsyganok said, “Armenian President should not miss the chance of haing a direct interview with Turkish President.”
Another Russian expert, Alexander Sungorov agreed on the same opinion with Tsyganok and stated that Armenian President should use the opportunity of visiting Turkey.
