“We addressed the international organizations on „green genocide“ provided by Armenia, which occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijani territories, destruction of unique natural pieces, as well as pollution of Araz River,” Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Huseyn Bagirov told YAP website, APA reports. He said the environmental aggression was a part of Armenia's occupation policy against Azerbaijan: „The invaders are polluting the rivers and lakes, cutting the trees even if they don“t use bullets. Armenia waged war on Azerbaijan in the information and environmental fields as well. We addressed the international organizations, but the opposite side prefers to keep silence.”

Bagirov said Europe had double-standard look on this issue. “The number of countries and international organizations keep pro-Armenian position for certain reasons. We are raising the problem in the international and bilateral meetings. We try to widely inform the world about these facts and to tell them that the Armenian aggression creates great threats not only for Azerbaijan, but for entire region.”
