According to the reports in Russian media, Armenia will be stated as the only enemy of Azerbaijan in the military doctrine of Azerbaijan.
Russian media claimed that military doctrine of Azerbaijan will be carried to agenda by Azerbaijani parliament during this fall. Azerbaijan did not prepare a military doctrine till now although there were pretty much effort about this issue.
Issues like aim of rescuing occupied lands, being prepared against external threats, protecting national interests and seperation of budget for these issues will be the main clauses of military doctrine of Azerbaijan.
According to military expert Uzeyir Ceferov, the reason for not preparing such document till now is due to political reasons. Ceferov had contributed preparation of a basis for a military doctrine in 2003 before his retirement.
Russian media reports that Armenia will be at the top of the list among the countries which forms threat for Azerbaijan.
On the other hand, opposition party deputy Penah Huseyin stated that he does not have information about preparation of such document and the geopolitical position of his country makes preparation of such document difficult.
