ARMENIANS COMPLAIN OBAMA ABOUT U.S. COURT VERDICT

United States Armenians complains about the verdict of U.S. Federal Court of Appeal which canceled the law that allows heirs of Ottoman Armenians to sue assurance companies for compensation.

One of the representatives of Armenian Assembly of America (AAA) Arli Vardanyan stated that they will appeal to U.S. President Barack Obama for canceling the verdict of U.S. Federal Court of Appeal which repealed the legistation of the law that allows heirs of Ottoman Armenians to sue assurance companies for compensation. Claiming that the decision of the court ignores the evidences of so called Armenian genocide in the U.S. archives, Vardanyan stated that the decision should not be evaluated as defeat of Armenian diaspora. “We already will go for an appeal,” he said.

According to the report of NTV, Vardanyan stated that the “truth” of so called Armenian genocide is recognized by 43 States and it is teached in the schools of California and Massachusetts.Vardanyan said, “We should not forget that even President Ronald Reagan used the “term” genocide in his speech. Stating that he does not have information about lobbying activities of Turkish diaspora towards affecting the decision of U.S. Court, represenative of AAA claimed that efforts for preventing the genocides in the world is damaged by the verdict of the court.
