DAVUTOGLU, CLINTON DISCUSSED ARMENIA RELATIONS

Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu had a phone interview with U. S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Turkish and American Foreign Ministers discussed process of normalization between Turkey and Armenia, upcoming visit of Hillary Clinton to Iraq and Syria and regional issues.

It is reported that Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu had a comprehensive phone talk with U. S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton last night in Slovenia.

The main topics of conversation were negotiations in Cyprus, process of peace in the Middle East, Caucasus, Balkans and other regional issues. “We decided to keep contact. Because, as we know there are very positive developments between United States and Syria which also we encourage,” said he.

The phone conversation between Turkish and American Foreign Ministers lasted 35 minutes. Davutoglu is on an informal visit to Slovenia.
