COUNCIL OF EUROPE: TURKISH-ARMENIAN AGREEMENT HISTORICAL EVENT

Council of Europe Secretary General Maud de Boer-Buquicchio stated that he welcomes the agreement between Turkey and Armenia and said, “This is a historical development for both countries and the region.”

Making a comment about agreement on protocols towards establishment of diplomatic relations and developing bilateral ties between Turkey and Armenia, CE Secretary General stated that he reacts to the development positively and finds it as a historical development for two countries and the region.

Stating that the agreement will help normalization of relations between two members of Council of Europe, Boer-Buquicchio said that good relations between Turkey and Armenia will contribute stability and progress in that side of Europe.
