Another reaction to Government’s Armenia initiative came from Democratic Party Leader Husamettin Cindoruk. Democratic Party leader Husamettin Cindoruk renamed government’s Armenia initiative as “Obama initiative.”

Commenting on the protocols initiated by Turkish government and Armenia towards establishment of diplomatic relations and development of bilateral ties, Cindoruk said, “Let me tell you as a former speaker of Turkish Parliament, these protocols cannot be discussed in the parliament in this form. There cannot be a conditional agreement between two states. The relations between Turkey and Armenia cannot be thought as it is independent of Azerbaijan.”

“What will happen if Armenian President Sarksyan does not come to Bursa to watch the soccer game? And what if he comes? Will the match begin with his goal or will he act the refree? Wrong steps should not be taken for the sake of Armenian President’s visit to Turkey.”
