On of the supporter and authors of so called Armenian genocide resolution in United States Congress, Democratic Party representative Adam Schiff stated that he welcomes the protocols that are signed between Turkey and Armenia but he is disappointed about the clause that a joint historians committee will be established to research 1915.

Stating that he is disappointed of the agreement between Turkey and Armenia about establishment of a historians committee, Adam Schiff said, “This is a disrespectable idea.”

Claiming that Armenian allegations are not disputable, pro-Armenian congressman said, “A committee about history is a struggle for distracting the truth. Turkey cannot rewrite history in exchange for good relations with Armenia.”

He stated that the normalization of the relations between Turkey and Armenia will be realized only after Turkey recognized Armenian lies about 1915 events.
