Armenia made an important step towards resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Yerevan withdrawing military forces from Lachin corridor and opens it to world.

Following the joint steps of Turkey and Armenia towards establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries, another step towards resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh problem is to be made.

According to the diplomatic sources, OSCE monitoring commission will be sent to Lachin corridor in Nagorno-Karabakh to make technical analysis at the second half of September. Holding a research within the framework of the decisions of OSCE Minks Group that were made in the meeting in Moscow last July, the monitoring commission will prepare a report about theroute and width of the Lachin corridor.

It is noted that the report of monitoring commission will play a key role in the process of solution of dispute between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Lachin corridor has strategical importance since it connects Armenia to Nagorno-Karabakh. It should be noted that returning 7 occupied regions back to Azerbaijan, is important for resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh problem as much as the Lachin corridor is.

According to the roadmap for resolution of Karabakh problem, the summit of Commonwealth of Independent States on 5—7 October is expected to be a turning point. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan are expected to meet and discuss Nagorno-Karabakh dispute during the summit in Moldova. Besides, probable meeting between Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian during United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States, will contribute the process. Other than that, President Abdullah Gul is expected to attend Turkish Speaking States Summit in Nakhichevan on October 2—3 and meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to discuss issue of resolution of Nagorno-Karabakh problem.
