On this period on which normalization of the relations between Turkey and Armenia is on the agenda, a conference with title “Denial of Genocide” will be held in European Parliament on October 6. The argument “Denial of genocide and skewing freedom of expression is a threat for the basis of communitites” will be proposed.
The conference that will be held by European Armenian Federation, Jewish Laicist Community and IBUKA-France on October 6, will be realized under the auspices of German Christian Democrat Parliamentarian Elmar Brok.
According to the report of Armenian press, European Armenian Federation aims to stress that denial of so called Armenian genocide and skewing freedom of expression is a threat for the basis of communities.
Armenian organizations in Europe and United States are expected to accelerate their efforts related to international recognition of so called Armenian genocide due to process of normalization of relations between Turkey and Armenia, which forces Parliaments of third countries to not to undermine ongoing peace process between two countries with bringing so called genocide resolutions to the agenda of Parliaments.
