Ultranationalist Dashnaktsutyun Party of Armenia demanded Armenian Foreign Minister Edwards Nalbandian’s resignation.

Opposing recognition of Turkey’s territorial integrity by Armenia, Dashnak Party rejected proposal of holding a referendum about Turkish-Armenian rapprochement and demanded resignation of Foreign Minister of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian.

Holding a press conference, Dashnak Party representative Hrant Margaryan stated that neither Armenian people nor Parliament of Armenia are not obliged to take the responsibility about the relations between Turkey and Armenia.

In that context, opposing the demand of holding a referendum for making a decision about Turkey-Armenia relations, Magarian said, “Authorities should take the responsibility. In my opinion National Assembly of Armenia even should not ratify those protocols. Referendum is also may be dangerous.”

According to the report of Public Radio of Armenia, Dashnaktsutyun Party considers Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian as the only one who is responsible for the process of normalization and demands his resignation.

Dashnak Party official also stated that Dashnak Party is not against establishment of good relations between Turkey and Armenia unless the process does not damage the process of international recognition of so called Armenian genocide.
