Armenian-Turkish rapprochement will have a positive impact on Georgia, said Paata Zakareashvili, Program Director at Center for Development and Cooperation. “Normalization of ties between neighboring states may only have positive impact on the region, increasing international community's trust in South Caucasus and pushing forward regional projects,” Georgian expert noted.
According to him, normalization of Armenian-Turkish ties and border opening will make Armenia more flexible in both economic and political terms. “Armenia will definitely acquire a more prominent role in the region. She may become a regional stakeholder,” Zakareashvili said.
