TURKISH ARMENIANS WROTE LETTER TO ERDOGAN

As Armenian artist Aram Dikran could not be burried in Diyarbakir as it was his last wish, Armenian citizens of Turkey wrote a letter to Prime Minister Erdogan.

The letter that will be sent to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan says, “Let people who born in these lands to be able to die and be burried here. Let people who can prove that his roots is in Turkey to be able to Turkish citizen.”

Turkish intellectuals also signed the letter that is writton to Prime Minister Erdogan by Turkish Armenians.

Armenian community wanted for double-citizenship to be possible for people who has roots in Turkey. Voicing support to the democratic opening of government, Turkish Armenians wrote, “In this country that 36 different languages are being spoken, a modern constitutional law is possible with a modern democracy.”

Armenian citizens of Turkey stated that they are hurted with the refusal of burrial of Armenian artist Aram Dikran in Diyarbakir.
