
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated that he hopes for the armed conflict between Azerbaijani and Armenian military forces which result with death of 5 Armenian soldier to not to take place again.
Speaking to media following his meeting with the speaker of Turkish Grand National Assembly Mehmet Ali Şahin, Ahmet Davutoglu stated that he made a phone interview with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Memmedyarov yesterday, during his official visit to Jordan. Stating that Azerbaijani Foreign Minister informed him about the clashes, Davutoglu said, “Such developments sadden us.”
Reminding that similar clashes took place in the Azerbaijani-Armenian frontline, Foreign Minister said, “That is not nowaday’s event. This is our impression about the development.” Stating that Turkey wants to end clashes and strains in Caucasus, he stated that Turkey’s efforts are towards establishment of permanent peace in the region.
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is expected to meet opposition leaders to discuss the protocols that are initialized by Turkey and Armenia towards establishment of diplomatic relations and developing bilateral ties.
BAYKAL, DAVUTOGLU TO DISCUSS ARMENIA NORMALIZATION
General President of Republican People’s Party (CHP) Deniz Baykal made an appointment with Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to discuss the protocol agreement between Turkey and Armenia that is initialized towards establishment of diplomatic relations and development of bilateral ties.
General President of CHP Deniz Baykal made an appointment with Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu who wants to discuss the issue of initializing protocols with Armenia that announced by Turkey and Armenia on December 31. It is reported that Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will meet General President of CHP at the central office of the Party on September 15.
