ARMENIAN CHURCH HOSTS FAST-BREAKING MEAL

Armenian church in Kinaliada, hosted fast-breaking meal for the Muslims living in the island.

As Turkey continues its efforts towards normalizing its relations with Armenia, Armenian citizens of Turkey responds Turkey’s efforts towards peace positively. Messages of dialogue and brotherhood are left during the ’iftar’ meal that is hosted by Kinaliada S. Krikor Lusarovich Armenian church. Representatives from both religions and a huge number of citizens attended to the meal that is held in the sports hall near the church.

’Iftar’ program of the church ended with the prayer of imam of Kinaliada Mosque Cemalettin Pektas. Messages of brotherhood echoed in the break-fasting meal that is hosted by Armenian church.

President of Foundation of Kinaliada S. Krikor Lusarovich Armenian Churh, Levon Sadyan said, “We believe in Allah, no matter from which religion or from which nation we are” and reminded words of Prime Minister Erdogan, “We become brothers, if we share.”

Stating that the day before they were at the break-fasting meal that is hosted by a synagogue Mufti of Adalar, Faruk Tut said, “This way people shatter taboos and show World it is possible to live together.”

High Priest of the Armenian Church said, “We wanted to show that people of this lands live in friendship and love. We inhaled the same air in this country for thousands of years. And during these days which Muslims fast, we are establishing tables of love. Iftar tables are dining tables of love.”
