President of the Organization for Struggling Against Baseless Armenian Allegations, Assistant Professor Doctor Savas Egilmez stated that Armenian diaspora is disturbed about the diplomatic relations between Ankara and Yerevan.

Egilmez said, “One of the most efficient diaspora organizations in the World, Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) stated that Armenia is forced to make dangerous concessions. Greatest concern of Armenian diaspora is realization of this protocol agreement and establishment of a joint historians committee.”

President of Organization for Struggling Against Baseless Armenian Allegations, Savas Egilmez said that the initiative towards normalizing the relations between Turkey and Armenia disturbed Armenian diaspora. Stressing that a joint committee of historians will be established to make researches about 1915 events, Assistant Professor Doctor Egilmez stated that the committee will include historians from third countries.

Stating that Armenian diaspora criticizes the initiative and agreement on establishment of historians committee, Egilmez said that discussion of 1915 events by a historians committee will prevent adoption of so called Armenian genocide resolutions by the parliaments of other countries.

Egilmez said, “If this committee could be realized and starts operating, than the Armenian issue would not be discussed at Parliaments but will be searched and discussed by historians. ANCA claims that Turkey wants to bring so called Armenian genocide into question and interrupt international recognition of so called Armenian genocide in the international platform through establishment of a historians committee. Because of that, Armenian diaspora harshly criticizes Armenian officials that agreed on this protocols. They are accusing Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan of betrayal.”
