Cem Karipoglu wanted in Turkey for six months as a suspect in Munevver Karabulut's murder, was arrested in Armenia, APA reports quoting Turkish Milliyyet newspaper.

Karipoglu was detained by special operational group sent by Istanbul police, when he tried to leave Armenia for Russia. Karipoglu will be convoyed to Turkey within 2—3 days.

Ankara negotiated the issue with Iran, Russia and Syria because it has no diplomatic relations with Armenia and send police group to Armenia to arrest Karipoglu.

An official statement is expected to be made on Saturday on this issue.

Armenian Interior Ministry denied few days ago that Karipoglu took refuge in Armenia.

Karabulut visited Karipoglu on that day and then her decapitated body was found in garbage can near the Karipoglu's house.
