The process of opening the Armenia front has begun. Nations involved in finding a solution to the Karabakh problem between Armenia and Azerbaijan have jumped into action.
Active projects are under way at the United Nations, NATO, the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) and the Arab League. Currently, there are extraordinary efforts under way to see that the crisis surfacing between Iraq and Syria does not reach disastrous levels. As for Turkey, it is creating strategies showing that it understands the very depth of its geography. Through its own history and culture, Turkey is making its presence felt in the region. During an interview I conducted with Ahmet Davuto“lu, he told me the name of a book he was writing: „Historical Depth.“ But I guess all of Davuto”lu’s many responsibilities have not given him the chance to continue with this book. Still, though, it appears that Turkey, through the strategies it is following, has already begun to write this book itself. Don’t you agree?
