Gathering with members of youth branch of Republican Party of Armenia in Tsahnadzor, Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan stated that Armenia is in a tough but necessary process towards normalizing its relations with Turkey.

“It is the easiest to do nothing. But our each step is aforethought,” said Armenian leader. Sarksyan stated that the harder thing is making decisions towards resolution of problems and reaching lasting success.

Calling young Armenians for determining an attitude about the issue of normalization of relations with Turkey, Sarksyan stated that problems should not be seperated as black and white but they should be deeply analysed.

On the other hand, he suggested Armenian political party leaders to meet and discuss the process of dialogue between Turkey and Armenia on September 17.

“NO SARKSYAN-ERDOGAN MEETING HAS PLANNED YET”

Reports claiming that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet with Armenian President Serzh Sarksyan on September 21 in United States officially refuted by Armenia.

Armenian President’s press secretary Samuel Fermanyan stated that the reports in Turkish media about a meeting between Armenian President and Turkish Prime Minister are not true.

“The dialogue between Ankara and Yerevan forms an opportunity for high level leaders to meet. That is normal. But there is no clause in the planned agenda of President Sarksyan such as a meeting with Turkish Prime Minister.”
