"There is no any secret talks between Azerbaijan and Armenia," Azerbaijani member of parliament Aydin Mirzazade said commenting on reports by Regnum news agency claiming that Armenia and Azerbaijan are coordinating procedures of liberating five regions around Karabakh.

"With regard to this report, the source which it cites could simply make own personal conclusions from the press reports. That is, media covers official information about the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," Mirzazade said.

"Besides various media outlets reported that the negotiation process is about liberation of five regions of Azerbaijan as a first step and liberation of Lachin and Kalbajar after 5 years and following this status of Nagorno-Karabakh will be discussed."

"All coordination will take place in line with principle of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. It benefits Armenia as well. So, Armenia gets rid of a huge military burden on budget, and secondly, freeing occupied territory of a neighboring state, it will be able to open the border with Azerbaijan and have a direct contact," the MP added.

"The negotiation process is going on while there are tentative agreements. If these arrangements are subsequently boosted, it will pave a way for further agreements," Mirzazade said.
