"ARMENIA BORDER WILL BE CLOSED TILL KARABAKH CONFLICT RESOLUTION"

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan gave iftar dinner for editors-in-chiefs of TV channels and newspapers on September 17. Erdogan mentioned the number of topical issues and answered the questions of media managers, APA reports quoting Turkish Milliyyet newspaper.

He spoke about the initialed protocol with Armenia and said Turkey would not open its borders with Armenia without solution of Armenia-Azerbaijan problem. “We told them about that. Aliyev, Medvedev and Sargsyan intensified negotiations recently. We are closer to the solution of Nagorno Karabakh problem whenever we were. It is impossible for us to open the borders without solution of this problem.”

Erdogan added that Armenia should be freed from the influence of its Diaspora.

“Diaspora does not bring any advantage to Armenia, in contrary it takes own advantage from Armenia.”
