FOUR STEPS IN 'ARMENIA OPENING'

Turkey’s Armenia opening will be opne of the main topics of the agenda of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his contacts that he will hold during the General Assembly of United Nations.

According to the report of Hurriyet newspaper, Turkey will accelerate its efforts for normalizing its relations with Armenia through the contacts during the United Nations summit.

As a first step, Ankara will reply in the affirmative for a triad meeting between Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkey if Armenian administration withdraws Armenian military forces from Nagorno-Karabakh.

The positive atmoshpere will encourage Ankara for the second stage. Turkey will sign the protocols in Bern, Switzerland on 12 October at the latest.

And the return game between Turkish and Armenian national football clubs will be played in Bursa on October 14. Armenian President is expected to visit Turkey to watch the soccer game following the progress that is achived through the meetings in New York and Bern.

Establishment of a joint historians committee to make researches on 1915 events consists the last stage of Turkey’s plans. American, French, English and Swiss historians are expected to participate the historians committee.
