It is high time to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh and all other conflicts in the Caucasus taking into account territorial integrity of countries in the region, CNN Turk reported Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying at the UN Security Council.

“Unresolved issues in our region are problems solution of which is very important for the whole world. Our goal is to move from passive neighborly relations to active cooperation. This is welcomed by our Eastern and Western friends and perceived as a contribution to the struggle for peace in the region and around the world. A concrete example of this is the ongoing negotiation process with neighboring Greece,” he said.

Erdogan said recently intensified efforts of Turkey to normalize relations with Armenia also bear fruits.

“Especially in the last seven years, we have done our best to solve the problems with all our neighbors. Due to the approach expressed in the policy of „no problems with neighbors,“ Turkey has improved its relations with all neighboring countries,” the Turkish prime minister said.
